Vinod Naidu Velakaturi, MD

Dr. Vinod Velakaturi joined CenterWell as a board-certified internal medicine specialist and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Velakaturi completed his internal medicine residency at the Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Before joining CenterWell, Dr. Velakaturi was an attending physician for almost 20 years at HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City's largest healthcare provider, and previously saw patients with Health Midwest, also in Kansas City. His patients have mostly been seniors, and his experience has helped him meet his CenterWell patients' concerns and provide them with thorough care. The relationships with his patients, along with problem-solving their medical issues, are the most satisfying aspects of his profession. For him, the right doctor-patient relationship can be summed up as respect, trust, and communication, listening to his patients' concerns, and addressing their needs. Dr. Velakaturi has two daughters, who, together with his family, he describes as his strength. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, gaming, and watching sports and movies.
