Dr. Tolulope Famuyiro, a fellowship-trained, board-certified family medicine specialist, completed a geriatrics fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School following her residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and a Master of Science in Public Health from UTHealth. Dr. Famuyiro earned her medical degree with distinction from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. Her research, published in medical journals and presented nationally, includes the authorship of Musculoskeletal Pain Nuggets for Primary Care Providers. Her accolades include the AAFP Family Medicine Leads Scholarship, STFM Scholarship, and Resident Research Award. Before joining our center in 2024, Dr. Famuyiro was a geriatric hospitalist at Baton Rouge Clinic. She also worked with Teladoc Health and Signify Health and held roles in primary care and infection prevention. Dr. Famuyiro believes in empowering patients to make choices that support their health and happiness. Passionate about caregiving and addressing loneliness, she volunteers with the MD Anderson Cancer Research Center. In her free time, she enjoys reading, the outdoors, and spending time with family.
