Sharmistha Panda, ACNPC-AG, has joined CenterWell as a board-certified acute care and adult gerontology nurse practitioner. Ms. Panda has been a healthcare professional since 2003. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing Practice from Texas Womans University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science from the College of Nursing of the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. From 2015 to 2017, she was a Graduate Assistant in the Texas Womans University Nursing Simulation Lab. During that time, she created lesson materials and assisted faculty and students in optimizing their learning experience. She is affiliated with the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Panda worked as an adult nurse practitioner with Sanitas Medical Center and IBN Sina Community Medical Clinic in Houston, Texas. She previously was a nurse practitioner with Dr. Neeta Singla in Houston and earlier served as a Registered Nurse in the Indian Army, gaining extensive ICU and critical care expertise. She believes in taking the time to listen to her patients to enhance their health and quality of life, a care philosophy aligned with CenterWells patient-centered values. Ms. Pandas decision to pursue a healthcare career stems from the warm place in her heart for older adults and safeguarding their well-being. Outside of work, she cherishes time with her family, enjoys the outdoors, and loves to travel.
