Dr. Jackeline Lopez-Ruiz has joined CenterWell as a primary care physician. Dr. Lopez-Ruiz earned her medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Mexico in 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao. She completed an internship at Manati Medical Center in Manati, Puerto Rico. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Lopez-Ruiz was a primary care physician with Orlando Family Medical in Orlando, Florida, and earlier, with Manati Comprehensive Medicine Center in Manati, Puerto Rico. Driven by a deep appreciation for older adults, Dr. Lopez-Ruiz believes listening to her patients is key to improving their health and quality of life. This care philosophy embodies the values that define CenterWells patient-centered approach. Dr. Lopez-Ruiz chose medicine to safeguard the well-being of seniors. In 2020, she traveled with a medical team to Puerto Rico, caring for those affected by the aftermath of a 6.0 earthquake. In 2019, she volunteered with One More Child and Olive Baptist Church in Florida and the Dominican Republic, providing medical services while addressing the communitys emotional and spiritual needs. Furthermore, she served as the coordinator of Route of Hope in Puerto Rico, leading a group of volunteers and medical professionals following Hurricane Maria. In her free time, she enjoys building precious memories with her family and exploring the outdoors.
