Dr. Giavonne Denise Rondo has joined CenterWell as an internal medicine physician. Dr. Rondo completed the Internal Medicine Program at New York University Downtown Hospital in New York City. She earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and obtained her B.S. in Natural Science with minor in biochemistry from Spelman College. Dr. Rondo has presented on various health topics, participated in several research studies, and received numerous honors, including the Diabetes Quality Care Distinction, the Women of Achievement Award, the Ralph de Chabert Trustees of Inclusive Equity Award, and the Adult Black Achiever Award. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Rondo was an internist with Norton Community Medical Associates and Park DuValle Community Health Center. She values working with seniors, their wisdom, and life experiences and believes listening to her patients is vital for enhancing their health and quality of life. Dr. Rondo chose medicine driven by a deep-rooted passion for helping others and contributing to the community, dedicated to addressing issues like food insecurity, nutrition, and mental illness. Dr. Rondo was born and raised in Louisville, and she cherishes spending time with her family, reading, listening to R&B music and dancing.
