Dr. Carol Andrea Stewart-Francisco, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed her residency at NorthWell Physician Health Partners, Long Island, NY, in 2003. Dr. Stewart-Francisco earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, following a B.S. in Biology, magna cum laude, from Medgar Evers College, CUNY. Her academic appointments include associate professor at Nova Southeastern University and Saint Matthews University College of Medicine, and volunteer faculty at the University of Central Florida. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Stewart-Francisco practiced at Optum Florida, focusing on the Medicare population. Her previous roles include primary care physician and associate medical director with WellMed, where she guided older adults in making healthier choices. Passionate about brain health, diabetes, and nutrition, she finds working with seniors rewarding and believes listening is critical to improving health. Dr. Stewart-Francisco chose medicine to serve her community. The spouse of a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel, she supports the Orlando Center for Multicultural Wellness. In her free time, she enjoys family, volunteering, and traveling.
