Candice McGowan, FNP-BC, joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Ms. McGowan holds a Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner. She has remarked that she developed a passion for helping others and chose her profession in healthcare after having an incredible patient experience when she underwent surgery as a high school student. Inspired by the genuine compassion and care she received from nurses during her surgery, she aspired to be in a position where she could extend the same level of support to patients. Ms. McGowan truly enjoys working with the older adult population and provides them with excellent care and quality of life. She works one-on-one with her patients to determine their personal health goals and then establishes an individualized treatment plan based on those needs. Ms. McGowan believes that greeting her patients with a smile and developing a relationship where they can communicate openly with her are the two factors that have genuinely ensured patient satisfaction throughout her career. When not in the office caring for patients, she enjoys traveling with her daughter to Disney, photography, and reading.
