Dr. Sabrina Tanis Finney joined CenterWell as a board-certified family medicine specialist. A graduate of Meharry Medical College, Dr. Finney completed a family practice internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Spelman College. Dr. Finneys honors include the Outstanding Faculty Award from Meharry Medical College and induction into the Gold Humanism Society. She served as an assistant professor of Family and Community Medicine at Meharry Medical College and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Finney was the site medical director of Wellpath, Davidson County Sheriffs Office. Her previous positions include hospitalist with Barton Associates, Saint Thomas Hospital West; collaborating physician with the United Healthcare House Calls Program; and medical director and collaborating physician with Optum Care Plus. Dr. Finney has served as an attending physician at Vanderbilt University Hospital. She values older adults and embraces a culture of caring for people, regardless of age or circumstances. Dr. Finney chose medicine out of a passion for helping others and serving her community. In her free time, she enjoys books, spending time with family, movies, and volunteering.
