Michaela Cheyenne Wells, FNP-C, joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Ms. Wells earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and an Associate in Nursing from Pearl River Community College. She completed 635 practicum hours in clinics, nursing homes, and acute care hospitals. She is a Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing member. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Wells worked with Medicare patients as a Family Nurse Practitioner with Primary Care Plus in Slidell, LA. She was previously the Director of Nurses and held nurse practitioner and registered nurse positions at Solace Hospice in Poplarville, MS. She worked as an ICU RN at Forrest General Hospital and as a nurse-technician at Highland Community Hospital in the ICU, Emergency, and Geriatric Psychiatry departments. Ms. Wells has had a natural affinity with older adults her whole life. Her father has always worked at a nursing home, and since she was a child, shes had a passion for caring for the elderly. “I will treat you with the same time, dedication, and commitment I would invest in those closest to me,” expresses her care philosophy. Ms. Wells chose healthcare because she has a warm place in her heart for seniors and for safeguarding their quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, spending time with family, reading, and traveling.
