Michaela Cheyenne Wells, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and her Associate in Nursing from Pearl River Community College. Ms. Wells completed 635 practicum hours in settings including acute care. She is a Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing inductee. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Wells was a family nurse practitioner with Primary Care Plus in Slidell, LA. She previously was the director of nurses, a nurse practitioner, and an RN at Solace Hospice in Poplarville, MS, and earlier, an ICU RN at Forrest General Hospital and a nurse-technician at Highland Community Hospital in the ICU, Emergency, and Geriatric Psychiatry departments. Growing up, Ms. Wells developed a deep connection with older adults, thanks to her father's career at a nursing home. From childhood, her passion for caring for seniors was evident, leading her to choose a healthcare career driven by her heartfelt commitment to safeguarding their quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, gathering with her family, reading, and traveling.
