Karina Perez, PA-C, joined CenterWell as a board-certified physician assistant. Ms. Perez earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, completing clinical rotations, including family medicine, internal medicine, women's health, emergency medicine, acute care, neurocritical and acute stroke care, psychiatry, and infectious diseases, in medical practices and hospitals, including Clements University Hospital and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. She received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Perez was communications director for the Texas Metroplex Institute for Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery in Arlington. Ms. Perez admires older adults' positive attitudes and eagerness to learn more about their health, and she believes listening to her patients is vital to improving their health and quality of life, a view aligned with CenterWell's values. Ms. Perez chose healthcare because she has a warm place in her heart for seniors and for safeguarding their quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and cooking.
