Heather Cristin Toney, DO

Dr. Heather Cristin Toney, DO, PharmD, is a family physician with experience spanning primary care, obesity medicine, hospital medicine, and telehealth. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and also holds a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Dr. Toney practiced as a family medicine physician at a Federally Qualified Health Center and served as a hospitalist, later developing an obesity medicine clinic and protocols at an employer-based clinic. She also worked as a medical director in utilization management, training physicians, conducting guideline reviews, and providing telemedicine visits. Board certified in Family Medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine, she empowers patients and care teams through accurate information and continuous learning, with passions for exercise, heart health, and obesity care. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
