Earl L Mahaffey, MD

Earl Leslie Mahaffey, MD, is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with more than three decades of experience caring for patients across primary care, geriatrics, emergency medicine, public health, and hospital settings. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed his Family Medicine residency at Hinds General Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Throughout his career, Dr. Mahaffey provided comprehensive family and geriatric care, managed emergency and inpatient services, served as a District Health Officer for the Mississippi State Department of Health, and held leadership roles including Chief of Hospital Staff and Medical Director of a nursing home. He cared for a large geriatric patient population and collaborated in geriatric psychiatry services, developing a deep appreciation for the unique needs of older adults. Having faced his own health challenges, Dr. Mahaffey is passionate about helping others navigate aging with grace and wisdom while addressing issues such as addiction and overall wellness. Outside of work, Dr. Mahaffey enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors.
