Danielle L. McLurkin earned her medical degree from Drexel University School of Medicine. Prior to this, Dr. McLurkin obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, and a Post Baccalaureate from the University of California, Davis. She completed her internship and residency at Riverside County Regional Medical Center in 2003. Dr. McLurkin practiced at SWLA Center for Health Services in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and St. Martin Parish Community Health Center in St. Martinville, Louisiana. She also maintained a solo private practice in Lake Charles. She loves working with older adults because of their unique health issues and concerns. 'I believe in kindness and respect as the first two rules,” she says of her philosophy of care. Dr. McLurkin chose medicine out of a passion for helping others improve their health and quality of life and serving her community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading books, and spoiling her fur babies.
