Cari Wilcox Dillard, MD

Dr. Cari Wilcox Dillard, MD, MPH, is a physician leader with deep experience caring for adults and seniors across emergency, home based, palliative, and value based care settings. She earned her Doctor of Medicine and Master of Public Health degrees from the University of Iowa and completed her internship and residency training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Throughout her career, Dr. Dillard has served in clinical and leadership roles, including guiding multidisciplinary teams, supporting patients with complex medical needs, and helping individuals and families navigate serious illness and end of life decisions with clarity and dignity. Her work with seniors has focused on education, shared decision making, and advocacy, ensuring patients understand their health and feel empowered to actively participate in their care journey. Guided by a philosophy rooted in kindness and assuming best intent, she is passionate about heart health, brain health, and addressing food insecurity. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family.
