Guerson Guerrier, MD is a General Practice physician who’s spent the last nine years working in Family and Internal Medicine practices in Central and Northern Florida. He recently joined our CenterWell West Orange location, and speaks English, Creole, and some Spanish. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from University of Central Florida and an M.D. from Saint Matthews University School of Medicine, in Grand Cayman, British West Indies. Guerrier completed an Internship in Family Practice at Hospital Metropolitano in Ponce, Puerto Rico as well as a Clinical Internship in the Department of Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA.
Dr. Guerrier worked in Clinical Research and was a Medical Scribe before studying for the U.S. medical
licensing exams and receiving certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. Since 2014, he has managed care in various outpatient clinics in Florida, including ordering various diagnostic testing and laboratory procedures, giving referrals, refilling medication, taking comprehensive histories, and conducting physical exams. Prior to CenterWell, Dr. Guerrier practiced at Central Florida Health Care for four years and before that, spent almost three years with PrimeCare Family Health Centers in Orlando.
Dr. Guerrier says he entered the healthcare profession because he wanted to help others live healthier lives. He believes in listening to patient concerns and addressing them to ensure satisfaction.
“Compassionate” is how he characterizes the ideal doctor-patient relationship. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Guerrier likes to spend time with his family and enjoys the outdoors.
