CARES (Caring for Aging People Education & Support) Group - Patton Ave, NC
If you are caring for an aging loved one, you are not alone. In WNC there are approximately 56,000
caregivers. Caregivers are often family members providing unpaid care for a spouse, parent, or other
relative. They, like the person they are caring for, deserve service, education, and advocacy including
respite (time away), wellness and support, access to resources as well as supplemental items for
health and safety. Find support by sharing & listening to others as we navigate the caregiving
journey together. The CAPES group meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at CenterWell Patton
Avenue. CAPES Support Groups are free, registration information is kept confidential, nonjudgmental,
non-denominational, open to ALL caregivers of seniors and you can attend whenever
youre available. Contact cynthiam@coabc.org for more information.
