Veronica Niki James, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Ms. James obtained her post-graduate FNP degree from Maryville University of St. Louis. She earned her M.S. in Nursing Leadership and Management from Walden University, her B.S. in Nursing from Texas Woman's University, and her B.S. in Psychology from Campbell University. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. James was a family nurse practitioner with Intermountain Healthcare in Las Vegas, NV, and previously with Las Vegas Pain Institute & Comprehensive Primary and Urgent Care. As an RN, she worked at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX, Cook Children's Medical Center, and John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX, as a community diabetes educator. For six years, she worked as a medical-surgical unit staff nurse. Treating older adults, she believes listening to her patients is vital to improving their health and quality of life, a care philosophy that supports CenterWell's values. Ms. James chose healthcare for the privilege of improving people's lives. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering, making family memories, reading books, watching movies, and embracing the outdoors.
