Verenisse Torres, MD

Verenisse Torres, MD, specializes in family medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and completed her Family Medicine residency at Saint Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center in Chicago, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Torres provided comprehensive primary care services in outpatient settings, caring for patients of all ages and managing preventive care and chronic conditions. She also precepted medical students and contributed to clinical research as a sub-investigator in multiple Phase II and III clinical trials. Her leadership experience included serving on residency committees and leading quality improvement initiatives focused on diabetes care and maternal health. Dr. Torres believes that taking the time to listen to patients is key to improving their quality of life and health. She entered medicine for the privilege of helping people live healthier lives and is especially passionate about exercise, diabetes management, heart health, and obesity prevention. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and enjoying the outdoors.
