Vanessa Cristina Piscoya, DO

Dr. Vanessa Cristina Piscoya, DO, is a compassionate internal medicine physician with a strong foundation in adult and geriatric care. She earned her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and completed her internal medicine residency at the University Medical Center Banner – Main Campus, University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Piscoya served as a full-time hospitalist at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System and held leadership roles including Graduate Medical Education Committee Representative and Secretary of the National Osteopathic Women Physician Association. She also contributed to medical education as a teaching assistant and tutor in genetics and immunology. Her research has focused on food insecurity in geriatric populations and antibiotic resistance in hospital settings. Dr. Piscoya has presented at national conferences and received multiple awards for her excellence in cardiac care and academic leadership. Outside of medicine, she enjoys food, music, and dance, and values creativity and teamwork in all aspects of life.
