Valerie Evonne Lopez, MD

Valerie Evonne Lopez, MD, specializes in family medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Paul L. Foster School of Medicine and completed her Family and Community Medicine residency at UT Health San Antonio Long School of Medicine. Dr. Lopez provided comprehensive care for patients across the lifespan, including older adults, with a focus on preventive care, chronic disease management, and helping seniors maintain their health, independence, and quality of life. During her training, she served in leadership roles as President of the Latino Medical Student Association and Vice President of both the Geriatric Interest Group and Psychiatric Interest Group. Dr. Lopez believes that health is our greatest wealth and strives to empower patients to advocate for themselves, make informed choices, and support their quality of life. She entered healthcare to help patients improve their well-being and live healthier, happier lives and is especially passionate about obesity, diabetes, and heart health. Outside of work, she enjoys listening to music, spending time outdoors, and being with her family.
