Dr. Tracy Wakefield is the Regional Medical Director for the Las Vegas market. With more than 25 years of clinical experience in the value based model, Dr. Wakefield, a board certified Internist, will drive the strategic direction to help CenterWell improve community health, address health care disparities, make health care more affordable and enhance education for skilled and compassionate health care professionals. Most recently, Dr. Wakefield served in senior leadership roles at P3 Health Partners, including President of P3 Medical Group and Clinical Lead for the Nevada market. During this time, she led the development of 9 new medical clinics in Las Vegas and Pahrump, while providing clinical oversight of over 30 clinicians in the area. While at P3 Health, she also served as Vice President of Medical Management for Arizona, where she assisted the team with the expansion of the organization’s PCP and specialty network in support of their Medicare Advantage contracts within that market. Dr. Wakefield began her career as a clinician with Summit Medical Group in 1997 and became a leader in the company’s transformation to deliver value-based coordinated care. When Summit Medical Group became part of the Health Care Partners organization, Dr. Wakefield transitioned from full-time clinician to Medical Director of Adult Primary Care where she oversaw more than 100 clinicians focused on improving clinical efficiencies and patient outcomes through physician engagement. A native Nevadan, Dr. Wakefield graduated top of her class from the University of Nevada School of Medicine in 1992, receiving multiple awards including induction into Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency in internal medicine and has been board certified since 1995. She earned her master’s degree in medical management from the University of Southern California in 2019. She comes to CenterWell with shared values in quality, innovation, education, affordability and service. Outside the office, Tracy enjoys spending quality time with her family, as well as playing sports like tennis and reading a good novel.
