Dr. T.J. Yin, a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist, is a recent addition to the Care Team at our Greenbriar center in Atlanta. He attended Duke University, the University of Florida, and the University of Miami School of Medicine, completing his Internal Medicine residency at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham. Dr. Yin chose a career in healthcare so that he could apply the ideas of science and problem-solving to health on a personal, individual level. The son of Taiwanese immigrants, he is proud to be the first doctor in his family. For the past seven years, post-residency, Dr. Yin has been working as a primary care physician and hospital nocturnist. He has a variety of experience in different settings, different populations and with different systems of healthcare delivery, all of which, he believes prepared him to understand and treat his CenterWell patients. His recipe for patient satisfaction? “I do my best to understand the situations that people find themselves in, so we can arrive at individual solutions,” he says. According to Dr. Yin, the ideal patient relationship is one that’s based on trust and respect. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Yin’s hobbies include soccer, aikido, and listening to classical music. The words he lives by are: Every day improve on the last. The reason is, he explains, that there’s always something else to improve!
