Timothy H Sanford, DO

Dr. Timothy Herbert Sanford joined CenterWell as a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine. Dr. Sanford completed a family medicine residency at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine after an internship at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. He earned his medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Mississippi State University and worked as an engineer before attending medical school. Dr. Sanford served on the Adjunct Faculty of Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2003 to 2020 and as the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital Chief of Staff in 2006, 2008, and 2010. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Sanford maintained a private practice for 17 years south of Tulsa, OK, practiced with the Choctaw Nation Health Services Authority in Talihina, OK, and practiced family medicine with Memorial Health System in Gulfport, MS. He has always enjoyed the wide range of issues found in family practice and has always especially enjoyed caring for older adults. Dr. Sanford chose medicine to make a difference in people's lives by helping them to put their health first. In his free time, he enjoys being with his family, reading books, and spending time outdoors.
