Dr. Teresa Brown is board certified in Family Medicine and has been a practicing physician for over 23 years. A graduate of Northeast Missouri State University and Des Moines University of Osteopathic Medicine, she completed her residence at Mercy Health Systems Family Medicine Residency in Janesville, WI. She has always loved caring for others, which is what attracted her to the healthcare field. Her previous experience includes two years at Prisma Family Medicine in SC, three years at Unity Point Family Medicine in Marshalltown, IA, 13 years in a solo family medicine practice in Eldora, IA, and five years at OSF Healthcare in Rockford, IL. Dr. Brown’s love of seniors stems from over a decade spent caring for nursing home patients in addition to heading up a full scope family practice. The best part of being a physician, according to Dr. Brown, is building and maintaining close relationships with her patients and working together to conquer their problems and improve their health. Speaking sincerely to patients on a level they can comprehend and being sure to ask them if they understand everything is how Dr. Brown ensures patient satisfaction. She believes that her job also consists of keeping abreast of evidence-based treatments and encouraging preventative endeavors to help her patients achieve their healthiest self. When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Brown loves spending time on the lake; fishing, boating, and swimming. She has been happily married to her high school sweetheart for 30 years and has two children, ages 22 and 23.
