Dr. Steven Gray has joined CenterWell as a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Gray completed his internship and family medicine residency at Valley Medical Center/University of Washington in 2001 and earned his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. He obtained his bachelors in biochemistry and economics summa cum laude from Bowdoin College and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He served as a volunteer clinical faculty member at the University of Louisville School of Medicine from 2001 to 2014. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Gray was a family physician with Paladina Health Medical Group and became the regional medical director. He previously worked with American Health Network and served as chief of medicine of Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN. Earlier, he was a research technician at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, published with William G. Kaelin, recipient of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Medicine. Enthusiastic about exercise, heart health, and combating loneliness through socialization, Dr. Gray appreciates connecting with older adults and guiding them through the complex healthcare system. His belief in listening to his patients as key to helping enhance their health and quality of life reflects CenterWells values. Dr. Gray chose medicine to serve others. Outside of his work, he enjoys hiking with his wife and their dogs, running, and woodturning.
