Stephen Charles Franks, APRN

Stephen Charles Franks, DNP, ACNP-BC, CRNI, CDCES, a doctorally prepared, board certified nurse practitioner, earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice and MSN from the University of South Alabama and a BSN from the University of South Carolina. His honors include the Johnson & Johnson Promise of Nursing, Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and the University of South Carolina Student Nurses Association Appreciation Award. His research was featured in a Medical University of South Carolina Diabetes Symposium poster presentation and the Upstate Health Science Center Research Showcase-Outstanding Abstracts. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Mr. Franks was a nurse practitioner in primary care, advanced diabetes management, and diabetes research at Wellpath and endocrinology and vascular surgery at Prisma Health. He feels that he learns real-life knowledge from experienced voices when working with seniors, supporting CenterWell's core values. Mr. Franks chose healthcare to improve people's lives by helping them prioritize their health and well-being. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, volunteering on mission trips, music, and the outdoors.
