Smita Ojha, MD

Dr. Smita Ojha, MD, is a family medicine physician with extensive experience caring for adult and geriatric patients. She earned her medical degree from Patna Medical College at Patna University and completed postgraduate training in obstetrics and gynecology before transitioning to family medicine. Dr. Ojha later completed her family practice residency through the Mayo Family Practice Residency Program at St. Cloud Hospital in Minnesota. She has practiced family medicine for more than two decades, including over 12 years serving patients at The Villages Health, where her work focused on managing chronic conditions, preventive care, and building meaningful long-term relationships with patients. Her background includes broad-spectrum practice in community and rural settings, encompassing adult medicine, geriatrics, and women's health. Guided by a philosophy of treating patients with the same dedication she would offer her own family, she is especially passionate about exercise and nutrition as foundations for healthy aging. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, traveling, and being with her family.
