Silvia Sanchez Cardenas, MD

Dr. Silvia Sanchez Cardenas, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician with a strong background in outpatient chronic disease management and clinical research. She earned her Medical Degree from Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the ACGME-accredited Universidad Central del Caribe Program in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Dr. Sanchez Cardenas has practiced medicine both in Colombia and the United States, combining clinical experience with a deep commitment to patient- centered and evidence- based care. Her academic journey also includes a Master's in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on Immunology. Her researched has focused on scorpion venoms, which she has presented at international scientific conferences, and she has recently contributed to studies on alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling and biking. She also studies handwriting analysis as a complementary way to explore human expression and behavior.
