Shelita Monique King, APRN

Shelita King, FNP-C, joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Ms. King earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University and her Bachelor of Science from Southern University Baton Rouge. She remarked that she's always had a heart for people and decided to channel that passion into healthcare. At CenterWell, Ms. King appreciates being able to dedicate quality with her patients so that they can express their feelings and concerns, and before completing her visits, she makes sure they fully understand their care plan. With a care philosophy rooted in evidence-based medicine, she lives by the Golden Rule. Before joining CenterWell, Ms. King worked with Oak Street Health, Upward Health Telehealth, and earlier, Southwest Primary, a Federally Qualified Health Center. She reports that her experience with older adults has been absolutely rewarding, especially the smiles and hugs from her patients. Happily married to her husband, a senior pastor, they have a blended family, and she's proud of her three daughters and two grandchildren. Outside of work, she enjoys Evangelism, reading the Bible, and spending time with her family and her little dog, Dax!
