Sharon D Smith, APRN

Sharon Denise Smith, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, completed her Master of Science in Nursing and Post-Master Certificate at Florida Southern College, where she also earned her BSN. She holds an ASN from Seminole Community College and an LPN certification from Lee VoTech. As a preceptor, she has guided FNP and AGNP students at South University, Walden University, Carson-Newman University, University of St. Thomas, University of St. Augustine, and Chamberlain University. Before joining us in 2024, Ms. Smith provided primary care at Lakeland Physicians Group. She previously was an RN clinical case manager at ChildrenFirst Pediatric Home Health Agency, and earlier, she worked with older adults at Sunbelt Subacute Rehab Center, cultivating a warm and compassionate approach to their care. Her practice emphasizes evidence-based care, collaboration, and proactive management, with a passion for exercise, heart health, and diabetes to ensure the best outcomes through education and patient engagement. Ms. Smith chose healthcare to help patients prioritize their health. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, volunteering, and spending time with her family.
