Shantel R Batiste, APRN

Shantel Batiste, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, With Honors from Herzing University in 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans in 2013 and an Associate of Science in Nursing from Delgado Charity School of Nursing in 2005. Before joining our center, Mrs. Batiste was a family nurse practitioner-hospitalist with Curana Health, a clinical transplant coordinator at Ochsner Health System, and an ICU charge RN at Tulane Medical Center. She began her career as an ICU nurse at Park Plaza Hospital and has worked with seniors in nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, and long-term acute care. Mrs. Batiste chose healthcare driven by a promise to her aunt in her final hours, guiding her philosophy of treating others as she would want to be treated and going above and beyond to build rapport with her patients. Mrs. Batiste enjoys meeting new people and finds fulfillment in her patients' smiles, exceeding expectations to ensure their satisfaction. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her supportive husband, two children, and her grandchild, reading, poetry, and arts and crafts.
