Sanjay S Bommakanti, MD

Dr. Sanjay Saradhi Bommakanti, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed his residency at Hurley Medical Center/Michigan State University in 2007. Dr. Bommakanti earned his medical degree from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India, in 2002 and pursued a master's in public health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has served as an assistant clinical professor at Midwestern University since 2008. Before joining us in 2024, Dr. Bommakanti saw patients with Village Medical and previously with Pebble Creek Medical Group. He has worked as a hospitalist at Banner Estrella Medical Center since 2008. His roles at Abrazo West Campus, Maryvale Medical Center, and senior house surgeon positions in India reflect his experience. Passionate about heart health, exercise, and diabetes, Dr. Bommakanti feels a deep affinity with older adults and believes that taking the time to listen to his patients is vital to improving their well-being. Dr. Bommakanti chose medicine to enhance lives. In his free time, he enjoys family gatherings, playing cricket, caroms, and chess, comedy and martial arts movies, traveling, and meditating for mental peace and spiritual growth.
