Board certified in Internal Medicine, Sandra Nieves Rosado, MD, has dedicated her career to caring for seniors. A recent hire at the CenterWell in Seneca, SC, she speaks English and Spanish fluently. Dr. Rosado attended the University of Puerto Rico and completed her residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Cabrini Medical Center in NY. Before joining CenterWell, Dr. Rosado spent a total of six years at Centerlight where she dedicated two years to being a Primary Care Physician for seniors, three years as Senior Vice President of Care Delivery and over a year as the Chief Medical Officer for a PACE program in NYC.
According to Dr. Rosado, her choice of career stemmed from a desire “to use my skills to help people heal and alleviate suffering.” That was 15 years ago. What she enjoys most about being a doctor is the constant learning and the ability to help and improve the quality of life of others. She also values her connection with patients, families, co-workers, and all those she has met along her healthcare journey. Rosado likes being a part of the “solid team” at the Seneca center, noting that CenterWell’s care model aligns with her own.
“Patients are a vital part of my life,” Dr. Rosado says, and believes in putting herself in her patients’ place so she can provide the help they really need. “Always listening, demonstrating empathy and educating” is her formula for patient satisfaction.
She is proud to be married to a NYC retired 9/11 firefighter, and they have two children she calls her “little warriors” — a toddler-aged daughter and infant son. When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Rosado’s favorite things include traveling, dining, a sunny Caribbean beach, and her babies!
