Sandhya Kolagatla, MD

Dr. Sandhya Kolagatla is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Maharajah's Institute of Medical Sciences in Vizianagaram, India. Dr. Kolagatla completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Appalachian Regional Healthcare in Whitesburg, KY, where she served as Chief Resident. She has extensive experience in managing complex patient cases, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Dr. Kolagatla has been recognized with multiple awards, including the American College of Physicians (ACP) travel grant and first prize in the KY chapter resident research competition. Her work includes developing treatment plans for chronic and acute conditions, with a focus on geriatric care. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Kolagatla enjoys participating in research, presenting at medical conferences, and engaging in community health initiatives.
