Rutendo Patricia Kamudzandu, APRN

Rutendo Patricia Kamudzandu, MSN, AGNP-C, a board-certified adult/gerontology nurse practitioner, earned her Master of Science in Adult-Geriatric Nursing from the Research College of Nursing in 2013, following a BSN from the University of St. Mary, KS, on the Dean's List, and a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Shona Language from the University of Zimbabwe. Her dedication to nursing includes teaching roles at Avila University and the University of St. Mary. Before joining us in 2024, Mrs. Kamudzandu practiced at Family Care of Independence, Centerpoint Internal Medicine with HCA, and Midwest Geriatric Physician Group, providing comprehensive care for seniors. Her earlier positions include PRN at Blue Springs Urgent Care Clinic and PRN hospitalist nurse practitioner at Centerpoint Medical Center with EMCARE. Passionate about heart health, nutrition, and exercise, she believes in building trusting relationships through attentive listening to enhance her patients' well-being. Mrs. Kamudzandu chose healthcare to safeguard seniors' quality of life, a population she holds close to her heart. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
