Dr. Rosemary Klassen, a board-certified family medicine specialist, completed her family medicine residency at Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, NC, in 2022. Dr. Klassen earned her medical degree from the University of Florida (UF) College of Medicine in 2019, following her B.S. summa cum laude from UF in 2015. Dr. Klassen has co-authored research published in medical journals, such as PRiMER, Family Medicine, and NeuroImage: Clinical. She's been recognized with induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and the UF HHMI Science for Life Research Award. Before joining our center in 2024, Dr. Klassen was a family medicine attending physician at Blue Ridge Community Health in Asheville, NC, and provided both primary care and addiction medicine with an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. Passionate about individualized and holistic care, she strives to get to the root cause of suffering and disease. Dr. Klassen has participated in numerous volunteer initiatives, including providing primary care in remote villages in India. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, meditation, hiking, and cycling.
