Rafael Martinez, MD

Dr. Rafael Martinez joined CenterWell as a general practice physician. Dr. Martinez completed his internal medicine internship at Central University of the Caribbean, affiliated with Dr. Ramon Ruiz Arnau University Hospital in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Dr. Martinez earned his medical degree from Iberoamerican University in the Dominican Republic after obtaining his B.A. in Biology from Florida International University. Teaching at Florida Career College, he was honored as Best Instructor of the Year by future medical assistants and patient care technicians. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Martinez provided primary care with Primary Physicians of Florida Clinic in St. Cloud, volunteered at the Osceola Council on Aging, serving the uninsured and indigent in Kissimmee, and worked in the ER of Ramon Ruiz Arnau University Hospital. His dedication to seniors, his passion for brain health, diabetes management, and exercise, and his belief that listening to his patients can help enhance their quality of life echo CenterWell's values. Dr. Martinez chose medicine to help others and serve his community. When away from work, he cherishes family time and enjoys movies and the outdoors.
