Praxides M Mbakaya-Chen, APRN

Ms. Praxides Mbakaya Chen, AGPCNP BC, is an Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who entered healthcare with a desire to make a meaningful difference while finding joy in caring for others. Originally from Jersey City, New Jersey, she believes that every patient experience begins and ends with compassion. Her approach centers on building strong, trusting relationships that support open communication and empower patients in their health journeys. With training from Kean University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, she brings a thoughtful, patient focused style to primary care. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, taking long walks, and swimming.
