Pete Sanchez, APRN, FNP, joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Mr. Sanchez earned his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas-Arlington, his BSN from Chamberlain College of Nursing, and his ANS from Lamar State College-Port Arthur. He also attended the University of TX-Pan American, the University of Maryland in Sigonella, Italy, and the Naval School of Health Sciences in San Diego, CA. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Mr. Sanchez was a family nurse practitioner with Cano Health and, previously, Merced Family Health Clinic. He served in the U.S. Navy for over 30 years, holding roles like senior clinical supervisor in combat zones and earning numerous medals. Passionate about diabetes, exercise, heart health, obesity, and issues of loneliness and socialization, he believes listening to his older adult patients is crucial for improving their quality of life and health—a philosophy aligned with CenterWell's compassionate values. Mr. Sanchez chose healthcare because of the innumerable opportunities and the immense privilege to help better people's lives. Outside work, he enjoys the outdoors, reading books, and spending time with family.
