Nicole Shafar, APRN

Nicole Shafar, MSN, APRN NP-C, is an adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. She is currently working on her DNP at Florida State University, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Southern College in 2015. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Central Florida and an Associate in Science from Lake Sumter Community College. With academic honors, including induction into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, she has taught at Rasmussen College and Lake Sumter State College. Her clinical journey includes starting as a Certified Nurse's Assistant, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse before obtaining her Registered Nursing degree and licensure to now an Advanced practice provider. A member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the National League of Nursing. Passionate about exercise, heart health, and caregiving, she believes in treating patients with the same care she offers her loved ones. Outside of work, she enjoys nature, family time, and music.
