Neal Patrick Patalinghug, MD

Dr. Neal P. Patalinghug joined CenterWell as a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Patalinghug completed his family medicine residency at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ. He earned his medical degree from Cebu Doctors College of Medicine in Cebu City, the Philippines. Dr. Patalinghug has gravitated to caring for those over 50 years of age and tells us he gets the most enjoyment when his patients do well enough to reduce their medication burden through simple dietary changes and exercise. Addressing the root cause of illness rather than just giving lots of meds is his philosophy of care. Before CenterWell, Dr. Patalinghug practiced at North Country HealthCare in Lake Havasu, AZ, and spent 22 years with Meritus Health in Hagerstown and Williamsport, MD. He believes in taking time for patient education and defines the ideal doctor-patient relationship as a great rapport and friendship, staying motivated and strong. Dr. Patalinghug is from a family of physicians and nurses and has two grown children, one of whom is becoming a doctor. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering with his ham radio, home improvements, hiking, mountain biking, and watching movies with his family.
