Dr. Naila S. Mirza, MD, HMDC, DipABOM, FAAHPM is a highly experienced physician specializing in internal medicine, hospice and palliative care, and obesity medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Connecticut Institute for Communities, Greater Danbury Community Health Center, affiliated with Danbury Hospital. Dr. Mirza further specialized with a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Dr. Mirza is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hospice & Palliative Medicine, and Obesity Medicine. She is also a Hospice Medical Director Certified (HMDC) and holds certifications in Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Dr. Mirza has held several key positions, including Medical Director of Palliative Medicine at Cayuga Medical Associates and Director of Palliative Medicine at Long Island Community Hospital. She has also served as a Palliative Medicine Physician at Northwest Texas Health System and William Osler Health Center. Her roles have involved both clinical practice and academic teaching, contributing significantly to the education of medical students and residents. Outside of work, she enjoys doing volunteer work, going to the movies, traveling and spending time with family.
