Miguel Amezcua, MD

Dr. Miguel R. Amezcua is an internal medicine physician dedicated to providing patient-centered care for adults and older adults. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George's University School of Medicine and later completed a Master of Science in Public Health at St. George's University. Dr. Amezcua completed his Internal Medicine residency at South Brooklyn Health Hospital, where he cared for diverse patient populations in both inpatient and continuity clinic settings. His experience also included serving as a hospitalist physician, participating in public health initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic, and contributing to clinical research. He mentored medical students and resident physicians and is passionate about caregiving, nutrition, heart health, exercise, and obesity prevention. Dr. Amezcua believes that taking the time to listen to patients is essential to improving their health and quality of life. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, going to the movies, and listening to music.
