Merlyn S Salmon, APRN

Merlyn Sonia Salmon, MSN, ANP-BC, joined CenterWell as a doctorally prepared, board-certified adult nurse practitioner. Ms. Salmon earned her Post Master's Nurse Practitioner Certificate and her RN-BSN degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Obtaining a doctorate in the DNP Program at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, she received her MSN from the University of Phoenix and is a Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing inductee. Her academic appointments include adjunct nursing faculty of the University of Central Florida College of Nursing and Valencia Community College School of Nursing. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Salmon was a nurse practitioner evaluating emergency room patients and a hospitalist with practicing privileges at Advent Health. She gained valuable experience treating seniors while providing primary care for in-patients of skilled nursing facilities and long-term care and values the team approach to patient care at CenterWell. Ms. Salmon chose healthcare to help people in making their health a priority. She enjoys reading and volunteering at Shephard's Hope, a free clinic in Florida serving uninsured people.
