Melina Sims, APRN

Mrs. Melina Clarissa Sims, MSN, ACNPC-AG, is an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a strong commitment to caring for older adults. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing and specialized in gerontology, building a career focused on meeting the complex healthcare needs of seniors. Throughout her healthcare career, Mrs. Sims cared for older adults in a variety of settings, developing expertise in chronic disease management, patient education, and compassionate, individualized care. As a registered nurse, she received a DAISY Award. Mrs. Sims is passionate about diabetes management, brain health, heart health, nutrition, obesity, food insecurity, and supporting caregivers. She believes in proactive care, preventive health, patient education, treating individuals with dignity and respect, and creating personalized care plans. Outside of work, Mrs. Sims enjoys sewing, quilting, reading, paper crafting, camping, and traveling.
