Matthew A Shlapack, MD

Dr. Matthew Shlapack, MD, is an endocrinologist specializing in diabetes and metabolic disorders. Originally from Towson, Maryland, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park, and earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Shlapack completed both his residency and fellowship training at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine and has practiced in his specialty for ten years. His clinical experience focuses on managing complex endocrine conditions with an emphasis on thoughtful, evidence-based care. He values building strong relationships and helping patients better understand and manage chronic conditions to improve long-term health outcomes. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, reading, hiking, and spending time near the ocean.
