Before CenterWell, Mary spent four years at Landmark Healthcare, where she was an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner and Telemedicine Nurse Practitioner, evaluating and treating a medically frail community of older adults. She also spent five years at Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care, providing pain and non-pain symptom management, as well as primary care for home-bound patients. Mary enjoys talking with patients and empowering them to take control of their health challenges. She especially loves helping them understand how to safeguard their health as well as their independence. At CenterWell, Mary has found a workplace where, she says, The teamwork is wonderful. In Marys view, the ideal patient-provider relationship is open, collaborative and respectful. She describes her approach to achieving patient satisfaction: I put aside the computer at the start of each visit and spend time to just speak with the patient, inviting questions and an opportunity to learn about what is important to them. When she is not caring for patients, Mary enjoys watching movies, spending time with her two children and traveling.
