Mary Jean Vorwald, MD

Dr. Mary Jean Vorwald, a board-certified internal medicine specialist, completed her residency at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center in 1987. Dr. Vorwald earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1985, following her B.S. in Zoology and Environmental Studies magna cum laude from Butler University in 1981. She co-authored research published by the American College of Emergency Physicians. Before joining our center in 2024, Dr. Vorwald was a regional medical director of Everside Health, overseeing operations across seven states. She maintained a private practice, IU Health Physicians Internal Medicine Zionsville, from 1992 to 2014, saw patients at Major Tool & Machine, and held positions in emergency medicine. Dr. Vorwald is passionate about diabetes and heart health, educating patients and the community. She is dedicated to enhancing senior care and believes in listening to improve patients' health and quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys movies, books, and volunteering, including serving as president of the Zionsville Band/Orchestra Musical Instrument Endowment Fund.
