Maricarmen Martinez Aponte, MD

Dr. Maricarmen Martínez Aponte, MD, is an Internal Medicine Physician dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to patients from all backgrounds. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Universidad Central del Este after completing a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology at the University of Puerto Rico and a Medical Technologist certification at Interamerican University. Her training includes an internal medicine residency at Hospital Universitario Ramón Ruiz Arnau and an internship at Hospital Perea in Mayagüez, where she gained broad experience across inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Martínez has provided primary and preventive care in both Puerto Rico and Texas, including roles at Hendrick Medical Center and Neomed Center, where she focused on chronic disease management, patient education, and evidence based treatment. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and being outdoors.
