Marco Antonio Gamez, APRN, FNP-C, joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Mr. Gamez earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Miami Regional University in 2022. He obtained his medical degree from The Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, in 2008 and practiced medicine for two years at El Roble Hospital in Monterrey. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Mr. Gamez was a family nurse practitioner with Spring Medical Center in Spring, Texas. Earlier, he practiced as a registered nurse at North Houston Diabetes Institute in Humble, Texas, and as a diabetes program coordinator with Diabetes Metabolic Center in Houston, TX. He considers working with older adults incredibly enriching because of their wealth of knowledge and life experiences. Passionate about diabetes, exercise, and obesity, he believes listening attentively to his patients is key to helping them improve their health and quality of life, a philosophy embodying CenterWell's values. Mr. Gamez chose healthcare fueled by the desire to help others and serve his community. Outside of his work, he cherishes the outdoors, listening to music, and spending time with his family.
